Musicians of all ages may take inspiration from a winning art piece to cover an existing song or create their own accordingly at a live Battle of the Bands event! 

樂團必須從獲獎作品中汲取靈感，即可以選擇一首現有的歌曲，亦可以創作自己的歌曲，並有機會在我們的場地表演。

All bands have picked winning artwork from the EchoArt Art Competition to use as inspiration for their song choices and compositions. These are displayed below:

所有樂隊都從EchoArt藝術比賽中選取了獲獎作品，作為他們歌曲選擇和作曲的靈感。這些作品顯示如下：

Battle of the Bands Finals 樂隊大賽決賽

EchoArt Battle of the Bands Finals will take place on November 10 at the Wanch (Henan Building, 90 Jaffe Road, Wan Chai). 

This event will have two segments: 

  • 4pm - 6pm - Student Division;
  • 6pm - 8pm - Adult Division.

Audience tickets will be $50 per person (all proceeds go to Musicians Foundation, registered Hong Kong charity). Walk-in only.


EchoArt 樂隊大賽決賽將於11月10日在灣仔的 Wanch（謝斐道90號豫港大廈1樓）舉行。

本活動將分為兩個部分：

  • 下午4點至6點 - 學生組；
  • 下午6點至8點 - 成人組。

觀眾票每位$50（所有收益將捐給香港註冊慈善機構音樂家基金會）。限步入式。

Important Dates 重要日期

Please see important submission dates and deadlines below: 

  1. October 4, 2024 - Band registration opens.
  2. October 20, 2024 - Band registration closes.
  3. November 1, 2024 - Bands selected for the Battle of the Bands Finals will be announced.
  4. November 10, 2024 (4pm - 8pm) - Battle of the Bands Finals at the Wanch! Bands perform in front of a panel of judges and live audience.

Marking Criteria 評分標準

We've standardized a set of criteria which judges will evaluate your pieces on. The three highest-scoring bands from both divisions will be recognized and announced during the live event.

我們已經標t準化了一套評審標準，評審將根據這些標準來評估您的作品。兩個組別中得分最高的三個樂團將在現場活動中獲得表彰並公佈。

Adult Division 成人類

  • An opportunity to showcase your talents at a live event hosted by The Underground. 有機會在 The Underground 主辦的現場活動中展示您的才華

  • An exclusive two-hour rehearsal session at This Music Studio, Hong Kong's top recording destination! Prize must be claimed before 15th December 2024. 成人組的得獎者可以獲得在香港頂尖錄音室 This Music Studio 的獨家兩小時排練時間！這是一次體驗高端樂隊排練的機會。獎品必須在2024年12月15日之前領取。

Rules and Regulations 規則

In order to ensure fair competition, we have some rules set in place:

為了確保公平競爭，我們制定了一些規則：

  1. Eligibility 合格
    1. Student Category: Open to bands whose members are all under 18 years of age as of October 20, 2024. 學生組：開放截至 2024 年 10 月 20 日成員皆未滿 18 歲的樂團。
    2. Adult Category: Open to bands with members 18 years of age and above as of October 20, 2024. 成人組：截至 2024 年 10 月 20 日，開放給年滿 18 歲及以上成員的樂團。
    3. All band members must be Hong Kong residents, and bands must not be signed with a label, record or management company. 所有樂隊成員必須是香港居民，並且不得與任何唱片公司、唱片或管理公司簽約。
  3. Band Size 樂隊規模
    1. Bands may consist of 1 to 8 members. 樂隊可由 1 至 8 名成員組成。
  5. Submissions 意見書
    1. Original songs: Must be created specifically for this event, inspired by the chosen artwork. 原創歌曲：必須是專為本次活動創作的，靈感來自於所選藝術作品。
    2. Cover songs: Song selection must be inspired by the chosen artwork. 翻唱歌曲：歌曲的選擇必須受到所選藝術作品的啟發。
  7. Ownership 所有權
    1. Original songs: The band retains ownership of their original compositions but grants event organizers the right to record and use the performance for promotional purposes related to this event. 原創歌曲：樂團保留其原創作品的所有權，但授予活動組織者錄製和使用表演用於與本活動相關的宣傳目的的權利。
    2. Cover songs 翻唱歌曲
  9. Content 內容
    1. Lyrics and performances must be appropriate for all ages and should not contain offensive, violent, or inappropriate content. 歌詞和表演必須適合所有年齡段，且不應包含攻擊性、暴力或不當內容。
  11. Time Limit 時限
    1. Performances must be 5 minutes in length. For every minute the performance exceeds or falls short of 5 minutes, one point will be deducted from the overall score. 表演時間必須在 5 分鐘左右。表演時間每超過或不足5分鐘，總分扣一分。
  13. Consent 同意
    1. All band members under the age of 18 who have been selected for the Battle of the Bands Finals must be accompanied by parents or guardians. Band members under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by parents or guardians will not be permitted to enter the venue. 所有18歲以下的樂隊成員如果被選中參加現場的樂隊大賽活動，必須有父母或監護人陪同。沒有負責任的成年人陪伴的18歲以下樂隊成員將不會被允許進入場地。
  15. Equipment 裝置
    1. Bands are responsible for bringing their own instruments. Basic sound equipment, such as amplifiers and microphones, will be provided by the event organizers. 樂隊負責攜帶自己的樂器。擴音器和麥克風等基本音響設備將由活動組織者提供。
    2. No backing tracks will be allowed. 唔可以用伴奏帶。
  17. Selection 選擇
    1. Winning bands will be selected by a combination of judges' scores and audience votes. There will be one winning adult band and one winning student band.​ 獲勝樂隊將根據評審評分和觀眾投票綜合選出。將有一支獲勝的成人樂隊和一支獲勝的學生樂隊。
  19. Disqualification 取消資格
    1. Any violation of these terms, including misrepresentation of age or originality of the song, may result in disqualification. 任何違反這些條款的行為，包括歪曲年齡或歌曲原創性，都可能導致取消資格。
  21. Conduct 執行
    1. Band members are expected to behave professionally and respectfully throughout the event. 樂隊成員在整個活動期間應表現得專業且尊重。
  23. Changes 變化
    1. Band lineup changes must be communicated to and approved by the event organizers at least one week before the event. 樂團陣容的變更必須至少在活動前一周傳達給活動組織者並獲得其批准。
